New MKZ'er here

We just picked up a 2017 MKZ Reserve, 3.0T, AWD.  I've been a Chevy/Toyota guy most of my life so when it came time to replace our Toyota Avalon i looked first at a Cadillac CTS.  I like the look of the exterior but the interior was very "plasticky" and the power was "ehh".  Broadened the search to other manufacturers and the MKZ checked all the right boxes.  Our 2017 was a Ford management car - as i understand it was owned by a Ford executive - and has been well taken care of and maintained.

We really like the looks, both inside and out, and the 3.0 turbo is plenty snorty.  The car has sport (or is it called drivers?) option as well as the panoramic sunroof and tech package.  We're still exploring our way thru the bells and whistles and i'll probably have some dumb newby questions for you all.

Hi aces. Congratulations and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum!

Just as an FYI - If you are referring to the option package that gave you what is listed below, you are correct and it is called the "Drivers Package":

- Aluminum Foot Pedal Covers
- Painted Upper Grille
- Interior Trim Accent Pack
- Driver/Passenger Multi Contour Seats
- Dynamic Torque Vectoring
- Painted Brake Calipers
- Sport Tuned Suspension
- 19” Satin Finish 10 Spoke Machined-Aluminum Wheels with Premium Painted Pockets

- Ebony and Touring White interior trim.

We have many helpful and knowledgeable members, so feel free to ask any questions you may have.  Good luck.

I agree totally with your assessment of the CTS and newer Cadillacs in general. Their CUE system came in for a lot of criticism, and apparently some of the screens are now suffering from delamination. And yes the MKZ did check a lot of boxes. Many reliability rankings also give Lincoln higher marks. Also, I see a lot more Cadillacs on the road, which makes them less “exclusive.”

Welcome!  I just turned in my 2017 3.0 AWD with Driver's Sport Package for a similar 2020.  You're gonna love it.

Fire away with any questions you may have but I highly recommend reading the entire owners guide.  There's a lot to learn about this car and its many features.
