Deniz Y
The car has not been used much lately and now it looks like I lost my auto function. Normally it has three levels of auto for blower speed and the lights under auto light up- they are gone and now it doesn’t show up on the display either. Is there a reset process for the climate control module? Or???
drolds1
There's no reset, per se. You might try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery after letting it sit for a while. This can sometimes reset the various modules. I wouldn't discount a weak battery either. You say the car hasn't been used much lately. The battery may have become discharged from non-use. The battery in my '17 was recently replaced and that was at only 21K miles. You might want to have it tested. Did you get any alerts in the message center? Deniz Y
The battery is fine and no faults are showing. I have been driving it daily now and no change. I will disconnect the battery and see what happens.

If you have the DATC set to "AUTO" and change fan speed, air register choice etc, it changes the AUTO settings. As I said, it is a silly question and probably not related to your problem, but you would be surprised by what people sometimes overlook. Also, is your 2017 MKZ still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Car Bumper to Bumper Warranty? If it is, them make a service appointment and have the problem properly diagnosed and corrected. Any solutions we can give would basically be temporary band aids. You should be within the 4 years. Are you below 50,000 miles? Keep us updated and good luck. Takeshi
Hi Deniz Y, I recently had this problem nothing can be fixed a full replacement is required. Please Take it to the dealership A.S.A.P. They have to Diagnosis and replace the entire Radio Bezel AKA Instrument Panel piece. It'll Take them an entire day to Diagnosis for various test since it's an extremely expensive piece. They piece might be on back order since my dealership has had two of the same instance of replacing the Radio Bezel within the past two months. It seems like your vehicle is affected as well now so thus it's probably a 2017 MKZ Wide problem and multiple vehicles are experiencing this around winter time when we use our HVAC to heat our cabins more.
