Phone Keeps Connecting/Disconnecting

My phone keeps connecting and disconnecting, so if I am on a call, it drops from the car and reverts back to the phone. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9. Does anyone else have this issue? I have tried everything and have paired/unpaired it multiple times.

I have an S9+, and that used to happen for a bit a while back, but that issue went away on its own.

Maybe one of the SYNC updates resolved my issue.

Does it happen with the phone laying in the cupholder?  Just thinking that your phones BT signal may be blocked by something.

The phone is usually in my back pocket, but it does it when it is sitting on the front seat too.

I should probably try pairing another phone to see what happens. I have already had a new APIM and radio replaced under warranty, and got a replacement phone thinking that was the issue.

Hi Scott. As drolds recommended, try pairing another phone, other than an S9. If you replaced an S9 with an S9, it may simply be an issue with the S-9. So try pairing another model and see if it still occurs.

If it is an S9 issue, it will likely be eventually resolved with a Droid or SYNC update, but it is certainly aggravating in the meantime.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

I have an S10+ and I have also had this problem. It started after the last Sync update... I think in October. I had an S9 up until about May of last year and it, and this S10+ worked fine until then. Very annoying. Plus, the phone audio doesnt work at all on incoming calls. I have to hang up on people and call them back... outbound seems to work fine. what a bug. I really hate sync and wish android auto would just get in the head unit making business.
