Rebel Racing Posted October 25, 2019 Share Posted October 25, 2019 Hi Guys, Weird things are happening on the settings page. I go to Vehicle icon, see: Ambient Light,Door Key Pad, Camera Setting, Valet Mode. I touch on any of them except Valet and all I get is the word and a blank screen--no option to change anything. The Wife tells me she gets a similar thing with phone related stuff also--call history and something with the messages. Everything was fine a few weeks ago and we are the only ones to drive it. No recent service or battery changes. Climate,sound, gps all seem fine. Is there a factory re-set or default setting I can go to?? My first thought is to disconnect the battery. If yes, it may be programmed as a "MyKey", giving limited access to certain vehicle functions. Sine everything was working fine until recently, that is probably not the issue. Figured I would throw it out there, just in case. You can do a factory reset. It is in the SYNC settings and the instructions are in your Owners Manual if you are not sure. I have gone to the settings button but t will not go to the point of letting me see the master re-set. drolds1 Posted October 29, 2019 Share Posted October 29, 2019 PCM has nothing to do with it. You may need to have the APIM reflashed or replaced. Some MLT-equipped vehicles had defective APIMs. Ford extended the warranty on the APIMs for certain cars to 5 years from the warranty start date. There was a Field Service Memo: https://ford.oemdtc.com/1745/12m02-warranty-extension-covering-accessory-protocol-interface-module-apim-software-and-hardware-2011-2014-ford-lincoln.
