kbuicker
Maybe someone has a 2017 18" Premiere wheel sitting around they would like to sell? Found out one of mine is bent this morning. guess it was a pot hole somewhere. Didn't find out until they rotated my tires and started to have wobble in my steering wheel. wonderful. Now, buy new or used OEM or go aftermarket. My 18" tires only have 10k miles on them, so like to stick to the 18s. Who's got photos of nice looking aftermarket wheels that fit the stock setup on a black . 2017 MKZ?
drolds1
Do an internet search for alloy wheel repair in your area. These places do an excellent job of repairing wheels, provided safety is not compromised. They will determine that. The cost is a fraction of that of a new or used replacement. Scott
I had a crack in my rim that I ended up getting repaired. So far, no issues.
kbuicker
Thanks Fellas. After much thought, I ended up purchasing some nice gloss black Fusion wheels. They should be here next week. I'll put my OEMs up for sale. Looks like they're on EBAY for anywhere between $195 (used off of salvaged cars) and $300+ (new on EBAY)... so mine should get snapped up pretty quick. Oh forgot to mention, yes, the repairs facilities were anywhere from $125 to $200. So not a bad deal. I just didn't want to drive on a spare for those few days they needed the wheel. kbuicker
Not sure if I will keep these or not, but gives it a clean look.

bbf2530
H kbuicker. Since I respect the fact that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I usually keep my opinions concerning how things look to myself. But since you sort of asked: I prefer the factory wheels on your car. This is only my opinion, but black wheels (no matter how nice the spoke style), make a car look nondescript, like an unmarked cop car. Especially on a black or dark colored car. However, I think those black wheels would look nice on our cars if they had a polished aluminum or painted silver finish, with dark pockets, similar to the factory wheels. Again, just my opinion. I realize there are those who would disagree and I respect that opinion. Good luck with the repair and whatever you decide to do. ?
kbuicker
BBF, no worries. Although I think they look nice, they would REALLY look good if they had a single strip of silver around the edge. Thanks for your input! BTW, I kind of like the squad car look :)

Then you have the perfect, high class squad car. Best squad car in the country (in my opinion...lol)! ? Like I said, I don't feel any overriding need to tell others that something they like does not look good, even though it is only my opinion. My opinion is not that important. ? But in this case, you already said you were thinking of switching back to the factory wheels, so I figured it did no harm to agree. Best of luck with your MKZ! kbuicker
NO worries :) , I did end up going back to my original rims. Still have a dang wobble in the steering at 30mph or so. Going to get it checked this wknd. I would hate to think I have ANOTHER bent wheel. With the stupid concrete roads and potholes, it's no wonder.
