I'm happy to see that a forum has been started for the MKZ!

I'm not an owner yet, but am hoping to buy a 2015 this Fall.

Welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum :)

Welcome to the forum, I'd love to see pic of your 64. :camera:

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'll post a picture of my '64 after I read the easy tutorial guide and find out how to post a picture. I posted the thumbnail picture above, but now I can't remember how I did it Also, I have to set up a profile and hopefully set my settings to notify me by e-mail when someone replies to my thread.

Hello all, I'm back. Here's a picture of my '64 for those who asked.

Tomorrow I'm going to order my 2015 MKZ. V6 FWD, Platinum Dune with Light Dune interior, reserve equipment group, multi contour seats, THX audio upgrade, rear sunshade. Also, California Package which includes moon roof and polished aluminum wheels. Still trying to decide on Brown Swirl Walnut or not.

Thanks for welcome and nice comments guys.

Now for the update. Things didn't go as expected today. I thought I was going to order my new MKZ, but that didn't happen. I took one off the lot instead!! It was almost everything I wanted and more. Didn't get the V6 or the rear sunshade, but got the Panoramic Roof and the Technology Package. I was pleasantly surprised that the Panoramic Roof option did not include the black antenna on the rear quarter panel. The Technology Package is probably more than I'll need, but I guess it's good to have. First drive home was great with the wonderful Multi-Contour front seats and THX audio upgrade. It also has the Brown Swirl Walnut and 19" polished aluminum wheels. Will try to have pictures uploaded by Monday evening. Lots of reading to do in the owner's manual!

TO Jim Ayers.  Good choice on your MKZ and we'll all look forward to see some photos soon.  Lots to learn and really tough if you are driving...so many cool things to check out so be safe.  The pano roof is awesome.  BTW, your 64 Lincoln is just drop dead beautiful.  Nice.

Thanks guys!

The antenna is embedded in the rear window.

You're right AZ MKZ h. There is so much to learn that it is a little overwhelming. There's a class on the first Wednesday of every month at the dealership that will teach me how to use all the features of the car. In the mean time, I've found that the voice commands work very well.

I spent all day at the Art Center Car Classic in Pasadena with my friend and his '60 Cadillac. Didn't get any pictures of the car since it was dark by the time we got back to his house. I promise to take some tomorrow.

That's funny. In that case, I'm really wondering why they "invented" the black antenna in the first place.

I'm not complaining though - I actually like the appearance of the car with the antenna.
