MKZ 2013 recall Door latch

I recently had to replace my 2013 MKZ Hybrid passenger door latch as it would not close and latch, my wife had to hold it closed while driving to the dealership! The Ford dealership ran my vin number and told me the recall did not apply to my vehicle? It seems a strange coincidence the recall was for a 2013 MKZ door latch but NOT my vehicle? The replacement part cost $167.72 and installation $160. I bought this car 3 years ago, is there anyway I can find out what recalls have been issued that the previous owner may not have done. Plug your VIN into this NHTSA Recall page, it will list any recalls that have not been completed on your MKZ, specific to your VIN. 

If nothing appears, then all recalls have been completed by a dealer.

Thanks so much for your help, I plugged in my Vin and “0” outstanding on my vehicle so it must have been a coincidence.

If there were any outstanding recalls on your car, they would have showed up on Ford OASIS as soon the VIN was entered into the system.
