Hi All,

Long time Ford guy here.  Earlier this week I said goodbye to my (much loved) 2006 FX4 F150 SuperCrew with all the bells and whistles, (all that were available at the time anyway).  It was hard to say goodbye.  I bought the truck new on December 27, 2005 and it was great for just over 100,000 ticks on the meter.

After considering everything from another F150 - Explorer Sport - Edge - Fusion, (2.0 eco, hybrid & energi) I fell in love with 2014 MKZ hybrid, (hybrid preferred pkg., technology pkg., power sunshade) clad in Smoked Quartz on the shell and Light Dune in the interior.

My wife drives (and loves) a Ford Flex, so I crossed the Explorer and Edge off the list since they were basically the same vehicle, (from a utility perspective) as her Flex.  As a side note, I really liked both; I think our Flex replacement vehicle will be the Explorer Sport.  But that is for a different forum...  I decided it was time for something other than a truck, I don't have to throw away all of my redneck attire - I have 1 1/2 Harleys that will still fill that fix, (the 1/2 is again for another forum - but I'm rebuilding a bike).

I drove off with my new MKZ that night, (Wednesday)!

While I've owned many Fords, this is my first Lincoln.

So far, I really like the car - I have hundreds of questions and have found in the past (especially during one of my Mustang periods) that forums are the best resource for the real scoop.  So here I am!

I promise to try my best to search existing forum threads before posting 'newb' questions as much as possible.

Welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum.  I moved from Las Vegas back to Dearborn this past November.  I was at Warm Springs @ L.V. Blvd. when I worked for Shelby American.
