Never saw myself with one of these, but I drove one and was VERY impressed. The interior is stunning, the car feels well built, and has all the features I want. Subaru Legacy Touring Unfortunately, it's CVT-only. That's a deal-breaker for me. Automobile Magazine: Quote The turbo engine is just ill-suited to cooperation with the Legacy's continuously variable transmission, which sometimes results in lazy throttle response. longislander
As much as I LOVE my MKZ, I don't want to get a new car that's the same as the one I presently have. I don't want a Crossover/SUV. The new Cadillac CT4 looks nice but I am not a fan of 4-cylinder engines. I only buy American brand-name cars. I am leaning toward the Dodge Challenger AWD - a big, roomy, V-6 powered coupe with a little attitude;)
Scott
Here are some options from an MT article about "low cost" performance options: https://www.motortrend.com/news/top-15-cheap-cars-300-hp-less-40k/?wc_mid=4035:17736&wc_rid=4035:33679316&_wcsid=04C5391F077AB88F44A2F56AAF617939928E24C5C6944524 Edited October 23, 2019 by Scott

Automobile Magazine: I think CVTs have come a long way. In the new Subaru’s (and the Nissan Altima I’ve rented a lot lately), both have a CVT that doesn’t call attention to itself, and it’s easy to forget that it is a CVT at all. I tend to ignore car reviews anymore, especially ones that focus on performance, handling, etc. I don’t care about any of that, the Legacy drove great for what I want out of a car. I am coming to trust Edmunds customer reviews the most because they are most honest about what is right or wrong about a car (for example, the much praised Acura RDX is one of the worst reviewed cars I’ve seen by Edmunds consumer reviewers). That, and specific car forums such as this. My only complaints about the Subaru are the start/stop system, and USB ports that are difficult to access. Smokestone10
I actually talked with my credit union on a loan but I came to my senses. So this was almost my next car. ?
