Vick
Hey Guys, I am new to this forum. I just bought a 2014 Lincoln MKZ hybrid which is just out of the factory warranty KM's. My car is having a weird problem with the ACC. I cannot turn on the ACC right after starting , when I click the on/off button nothing happens i.e i dont see the little speedo cruise symbol neither can I set the ACC. Also sometimes while driving the Cruise Control /ACC disengages by itself without the presence of any obstruction in front of the vehicle ECO cruise symbol disappears and the cruise control feature is freezed without any warning. If I keep driving the ACC frozen aftersometime it comes back online with ECO symbol. Another way i found out to quickly reset this issue is when I navigate into the settings menu over to cruise control/eco cruise mode and toggling it from ACC TO CC/ ON to OFF. Also the collision warning does not seem to work at times which I tested by safely applying late brakes. My local dealership tells me it could be a lot of things that could affect this and I might need to change wiring and the ACC module all together. Any body ever experienced this issue before?? Thanks Edited November 29, 2018 by Vick

Thanks Cannot say I have had any issues with that and my 2014 MKZh now has 65k on the speedo and I use adaptive cruise control daily. I regularly do not turn it on right after I start the car but will usually about 5 minutes into my trip. You do know there is a minimum 12mph (20km/h) speed for the system to work? If you did not get an owners manual, you can download one, the info on the Adaptive Cruise Control starts on page 192 in my version (printing 2) The ECO is an optional acceleration method and can be controlled (on/off) from the information display (Page 198) The collision warning system (option) is not tested by applying the brakes and is active above 5 mph (8 km/h), see page 210 and the sensitivity can be adjusted

For me the ON/OFF button does absolutely nothing when its frozen. The only way to reset this is the way I have referred to in my original post. I do have the manual and I have given it a good read. I am aware about the collision warning being active above 10 km/h as well. Going to the dealer this Wednesday for the issue hopefully they can figure whats going on with my car.
