R2D2
I spoke to my repair rep Last Thursday and Lincoln is recommending changing the Catalytic.... just waiting for them to say the part is in....we'll see Meantime I went to look at the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV-GT - Very impressive mileage for a SUV hybrid but it is also a plug-in Update.... called them again yesterday (Tues), they say the part is in but are looking to line up a loaner as the change will take most of the day Edited January 16, 2019 by R2D2
R2D2
New Catalytic is in, picked my car back up Friday afternoon....we'll see if it cures the issue Funny thing was the dealer originally told me, nobody else had that identical issue but when I picked the car up Friday they sang a different tune, there was a 2013 MKZ coming back that was also told that the intermittent Check Engine Light and the P013A code was being cause by a faulty catalytic. R2D2
Well, it has been about a month and the problem has not resurfaced. But a new issue has started, a fault In the air bag system After starting the car, the air bag warning light goes out for 1-2 seconds and then remains on solid. i looked at the connections under the seat and all appears to be plugged in tight, so back to the dealer it goes ? Hi mkultra. Why be skeptical? Most CEL issues are usually not hard to diagnose and resolve. The place to start would be to have your vehicle's OBDII system read for codes. Most big box auto stores (i.e AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly's etc.) will do it for free. Or have a third party auto shop you trust do it. Or a Lincoln or Ford Dealer. But the place to start is finding any DTC codes that may be present. Keep us updated and good luck.
