Oil change price, impressive

Seems every few days I get reminded what a great choice I made buying a Lincoln.  Emailed my dealer today inquiring how much an oil change costs.  I am due for my first one in about 3000 miles.

my great sales guy replies that an oil change, wash and tire rotation is $55.  I was shocked on what a great bargain this is.  My Mazda I had befor this was almost 80 for this are service.  Again Lincoln proves that you can have a true luxury car without the crazy upkeep cost that is typical with most premium brands.  Know people who drive bmw and audi who would kill to get a simple oil surface under $250.

I keep seeing  on line coupons for ford quick change " the works " at $39.00 or less .  I am going to call my dealership to check on this price .

Hi Under200 and Jim.  Yes, you can usually find coupons on the Lincoln and Ford Owners website (and sometimes individual Dealer websites) for "The Works" package for "$39.95 or less". "The Works" is an oil/filter change, tire rotation, check and top fluids, check and fill tires, Maintenance check of brakes/tires suspension etc.. It's a good deal.

Also, there was recently a coupon for the same deal plus a new pair of wiper blades and a $10 online/mail-in rebate. So "The Works" and wiper blades for $29.95. I think that coupon offer expires the end of October or November.

And as an FYI: A car wash is a perk that Lincoln owners are supposed to get whenever they bring their car in for service. At least through the 4 year Bumper to Bumper warranty period. Not sure about longer than that.

Hope this information helps.

My 2010 is way past warranty but the service manager sees to it that it's washed every time it's serviced. I've never seen a dirty Lincoln roll out of the local dealer's service bays, including some rather rough looking Town Cars. ?

I have friend with a Lexus RX that says its usually $250+ every time it goes in for an oil change. The last service was $1300 which included a new set of tires at 35k miles.

My friend couldn't believe my $50 or less service charge for oil change, filter, tire rotation, etc.

I always get a car wash too. In fact my salesman said  to come in anytime and see him if I needed a car wash and he will get it done for free.

By contrast, M-B basic service or "A Service" costs $320 in this area.  Full synthetic oil can't account for the difference

Mercedes-Benz uses a Flex Schedule for maintenance, prompted by indicators on the control panel of your vehicle. Your first service should occur between 5,000 and 6,000 miles. This is when we perform an Inspection and Tire Rotation Service.

Following that interval, your next service will occur when a single wrench icon illuminates on your control panel. The single wrench indicates it is time for an Service A.

Here is what we do:

  • Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement
  • Oil Filter Replacement
  • All fluid level checks and corrections are dependent on factory-recommended service intervals for your vehicle's year and model.
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Brake inspection
  • Reset maintenance counter
  • Adhere to all required elements listed by model year and specific model as indicated on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA

On average, a Mercedes A Service can cost anywhere from $210 to upward of $315 depending on which service provider you choose. This price includes labor and parts. No matter what, you can expect to spend a couple hundred dollars, which is a normal and expected maintenance cost for a luxury automobile like a Mercedes.
