check engine light. problems on start up.

Recommended Posts

Recently I have a problem with my 07 mkz. As cars get newer, my hands on knowledge becomes less. So when I go to turn the key in the ignition and fire it up, it cranks longer than usual to fire up. After that, drives like normal. I took it to orielys and had them scan it. It says something low voltage. I replaced the battery under warranty which really didnt make any sense with the problem im having. I can hear the fuel prime. Also noticed that if I just turn the key to ON, wait like 2 seconds and then srart it, fires up just fine but check engine light still comes on. I appreciate any info and guidance as I dont have any.

The code u got from auto zone was p1633.

Ignition supplement power circuit low voltage

Ignition O

(Current is below battery voltage)

Probable cause

1- check ignition O circuit fuse

2-failed inition switch

3-open circuit condition

I have replaced the ignition switch in the steering column and still the same

Fixes
