NavyVet
I have owned a 2008 Z for 3 weeks now and today i noticed that 3 of my alloy rims are chipped ( nothing major at all ) instead of sending them to be refurbished i would like to know if anyone can give me some ideas to do it myself , i was thinking maybe some silver paint on such areas and clear varnish..thank you in advance... :dogwalk:
drolds1
If the chips aren't too bad and you want to try and D-I-Y, you could give the Permatex Wheel Restoration Kit a try. You can buy the paint separately if that's all you want. Do not use varnish on your wheels. Varnish is intended for wood. If you want to add clear coat, Duplicolor makes a clearcoat wheel paint for automotive use.
