tmf2004
I've been reading about the Forscan download and Nav hack but just in case i'm unable to download Forscan onto my mac I'll move to plan B. I was browsing Ebay and noticed used Nav screens for the 13-16 MKZ.. some were under $200 and even around $150. Looks like i'm going to call Lincoln this week and get a part number for the Navigation unit. There is a dozen on Ebay and i'm not sure which one to buy. IDMACD
JRRoss- Are you doing the 4D upgrade, or did you source the parts yourself?
tmf2004
well i just got my GF and new Google Chromebook computer.. Will this work with forscan?
IDMACD
Chromebook is not Windows-based, so it's doubtful. Try it though. U never know. I'm wondering if u'll get the FTDI drivers to function. I just got another member good to go on Nav. He's pretty happy.
tmf2004
yea Ian i really want it lol. car seems so ancient without it since it’s only 4 yrs old. My next purchase is a rearview back up camera unit from Amazon. have a few in mind that have transmitters and just tape into the rear lights . jrross
I found a unit on Car-part.com, screen and module, comes in tomorrow. Will get the antenna and USB hub on amazon/ebay... far cheaper than 4D. Install will be another matter, I'm rather novice in that dept.... :)

IDMACD
Jrross- How do u plan-on having it programmed to your vin? tmf2004
jrross
In addition to the 4dtech video there is another YouTube clip that speaks to installing to your system via forscan I believe... Innovation garage or something. Search sync 2 to sync 3 and he talks about the parts needed and installing.
