I also had notice when I got my MKZ that the sound in the rear deck was weak. I found in the audio settings three tabs that says front, all passengers, and rear. Mine was in the all passenger spot so I decided to try the rear setting and it improve the sound in the rear and didn't affect the sound in the front. On the option screen click on sound settings. On the sound setting screen you will see the Occupancy Mode which has the Driver, All Seats, and Rear tabs. Black Ice MKZ Posted April 28, 2018 Share Posted April 28, 2018 I counted them yesterday: 5 speakers in rear window "hat tray" 2 in each door (8 total) 1 in top center of dash. I gave them a full tuning via the screen adjustments, loaded a home-made CD with "sound quality" recording and set the "centralized sound dot" in the right spot...and I am seriously giddy over waiting to find the right car with theTXH-II 700w sound system. evo Posted December 26, 2018 Share Posted December 26, 2018 I just picked up the complete wiring diagrams for the '16 it appears there are 2 6x9 speakers, and one of those 2" center speakers on the rear shelf. and according to the wiring diagram, there's two speakers in the dash, somewhere, which would be the ones we're all missing! I did notice two port like plastic tubes under the rear deck too, like they're venting a couple of subs, any idea what those are? they seem to disappear by the rear seats/wheelarches.
