PINSTRIPING

I used to get my cars pinstriped in the 70s.  IMO, it's passe now.  Most modern cars' lines don't lend themselves well to it.  I saw it on a new Maxima and it looked ridiculous wit all the curves and swoops on that car.

Of course, it's your car and you can do whatever you like with it.   FWIW, I used to try to match the interior color.

I had considered this myself, but after looking at the car from different views and angles I concluded the Z has great lines already without the pinstrips. Years ago I had striping on my old Honda coupe but any little damage or repainting along the stripe you had to get it redone again. You can go online and type in 2013 - 16 MKZ with pinstrips and maybe pull up a photo of one.

I think my car came with it (maybe done at the factory, it's painted on).

I've never been a fan of it myself. It looks ok on the car though...

I didn't notice the pinstripe on the photo. Is this a black label thing? Looks nice. Is that a Lincoln star just under the A pillar?

My Dad had a black '70 Cougar XR7, and the dealer put on a red double pinstripe, which looked pretty good as I recall. I wonder if something would work on my black Z.

Ill take a close up shot tomorrow. I was wrong, it's not painted. Couldn't feel the tape at first but I definitely felt it the second time.

Yes, there is a small star there. The stripes are black and silver
