Billm
Hello All, I put the Craven Speed Stubby antenna on my Xmas list and it was in my stocking.......... It looks nicer than the factory antenna, but you really take a hit with performance. If you are near the FM radio stations transmitters you will be able to pull in the HD radio signals, but for the most part when I had this antenna on the car the radio is constantly in the "acquiring HD signal mode". The only way the FM reception is remotely acceptable is if you turn off the HD Radio. I have put the factory antenna back on and will live with its ugliness....... I'll have the stubby as a spare if I ever forget to take mine off before going through the car wash and the OEM one gets broken. I think it is just too short to get over the rear deck line... Craven offers taller options for other vehicles, but not the Lincoln MKZ.........
Chris109
Dunno. I have the Stubby and get clear reception. That is unless I am waaaaay out in the boonies. Then, it is either satellite or a thumb drive with my own stuff. However, silence is relaxing also.
RAB
I also get good reception with the Stubby. Before installing the Stubby last summer, I took note of the reception of all my AM and FM presets at various locations with the factory antenna, and there is no noticable difference after installing the Stubby. I've since noticed that one distant FM station has poor reception during bad winter storms, but I'm not sure whether that's due to the Stubby.
