Chris109
I've noticed that on my 2013h, my speedometer reads 3 mph higher than actual speed. I travel through school zones and speed areas where there are gauges to inform you how fast you are going. Car always shows 3 mph difference. Common on these cars? drolds1
Two to three mph is pretty common for FoMoCo speedometers. At those low speeds, though, 3mph is a bit high. Check it with a GPS or speedometer app. DOT regs allow up to a 10% error. Edited January 23, 2018 by drolds1 R2D2

Chris, I noticed this as well and but mine is more off by about 2 MPH... I set my speed control to just 1 MPH over the limit to compensate when on the highway otherwise I get run over ;)
Chris109
I set cruise with whatever I feel like driving at. Let them people fly by me on the highway. I'm in no rush. However, after driving my Mitsushitzy Eclipse for 15+ years, and still even after having the Zh since Sept '17, I can get on the highway and hit 70+ right away, and not even realize it cause it is soooo smooooth. And drolds, DOT may allow , but the I know the cops don't GAS if you're driving on 301 in Starke Fl. :congrats: You just got a speeding ticket for doing 31 in a 30 mph zone. :clapping:

No equipment is that accurate. How can that stand up in court? Around here, they'll give you 10mph in most places. There's enough other idiots around to nab. Almost every time I go past a particular school, where the limit is 25 from 7am-6pm, someone angrily passes me on the right at 40-50. Chris109
Starke/Waldo is well known for catching 'speeders'. Seems like they have more cops than population. Seeing I haven't been there in many, many years, things have changed a bit. $400,000 in fines? https://www.tripsavvy.com/floridas-worst-speed-traps-1513431 Edited January 29, 2018 by Chris109
