hitops
I'm debating the merits of getting a new 2017 leftover 3.0 MKZ. Not sure how much a new model will beat down the resale. Any new info on what year it will be replaced? Edit: Turns out I can't spell in the title. Edited December 12, 2017 by hitops
fusionff
As far as I remember, the end of production date is June of 2019. So the MKZ replacement, which will be an actual name, should be ready as a 2020 model. It may shrink in size since it's almost as big as the Continental, but there is no word on exactly what to expect. I may order early next year, but I'm not worried about resale values, since I plan on keeping it at least 10 years, probably longer. I keep looking for killer deals on the 17s, but nothing too great out there yet, most deals are similar to X plan prices, which I can get anyway on the 18s. Hmmm...we got a 2017 2.0 AWD Select, w/Select Plus package and Power Moonroof for $34.9K (plus tax, tags, fees) with 0.0% financing for 60 months. The car had 275 miles on the odometer. That sounded good to us... Edited December 22, 2017 by joswald21

I am waiting to see what the plan is here. They need to add Lincoln products, not cancel. Galhotra just hinted they don’t want to enter every segment, but there are a couple they will go into. RichInMich
Well, as someone who just came over from BMW and made his first-ever Lincoln purchase last fall with the 3.0 AWD MKZ, I would be greatly disappointed if they discontinued the production of it. The name of the game in the automotive world is profit - and right now that means compact SUVs (beautiful redesign on the MKC) and larger crossovers (anyone catch a glimpse of the Nautilus coming out?)... Would be sad, since the primary draw to the MKZ for me was the 400hp engine, and none of those new cars will have this remarkable engine.Guess that will force me to consider the slightly too extravagant Continental or switch makes again. brucelinc
Most likely scenario: The MKZ replacement will no longer be on the current Fusion platform. It will not be called MKZ but there will be a replacement, regardless of what Ford does with the Fusion.
