We Recently purchased a 2016 Lincoln MKZ Zephyr with only one keyfob we cannot find the factory code on the fuse panel to the left of the steering column..I have read in several posts that the code should be there...but none of the posts specifically mentioned 2016, most of the cars I read about were older

There's no hidden sticker in the 2nd-gen cars as there was in the earlier cars. Without both keys, you can't retrieve the code from the car's screen either. You'll have to go to a dealer to have them get the code. They may or may not charge for this service. A locksmith with the Ford IDS tool may be able to do that as well but IDK that for sure.

Where's the other key? Did you buy the car from a Lincoln dealer? If so, the car came from the factory with 2 fobs. You're entitled to everything the car is inbuilt with. Ask for it.
