Izzy3906
For any one who are interested in this mod there has to be some small drilling on the passenger side mirror. the driver side goes in ok but the passenger side has a cover the wont let the puddle light go in flush. If you look at the seventh pic that is the driver side and you can see that it has an open space. The first picture is the passenger side and you can see the cover. The last pic are the tools I used for this a step bit and a carbide bit to grind a little. On the eight pic I drilled a hole so I can see when I put the puddle light in where it is hitting and then grind from the inside what it is necessary. After this the puddle light will go in flush. I have the 2014 MKZ 2.0 Eco-boost. I don't know if for a different trim you would have to modify the passenger mirror also. When you disconnect the wires from the mirror don't turn the car on, it will give you an cross traffic fault message, and the get rid of it is to unplug your battery for at least five minutes and it will go away. MediumWilly22
I used the link provided above and was surprised to see that the lights I received illuminated in purple. Did anyone else out there get a color other than blue?

The ones I have are really bright white.
MediumWilly22
These definitely are purple. There is a red and a blue LED inside of the lens.

MediumWilly22
Kind of hard to see the color in these images, but you can see the red light on the lens itself.

IMG_20170814_201710.jpgIMG_20170814_201729.jpg That is the first for me, I check all the ones that they have in ebay and none says that they are red. They don't look bad do you like the way it looks. MediumWilly22
I'm not really a fan. It's really nearly pink. I'll probably try and order another set and hope I have better luck.

Well I hope when you order them they turn out white instead of red and also you can probably contact the seller and ask them what color led light it has. Mcondo
Hi, new MKZ owner here. 2014 certified V6 AWD BoB. I'm very interested in installing these lights but I'm a little confused - are they an OEM bulb assembly from a 2015 or aftermarket? Seems like you could just install the driver side if one wanted to.
Fik4
Yes you could pretty simple the lights just pop out from below the mirrors and are sealed units.I just installed the aftermarket ones which project the Lincoln logo and the units unlike the factory ones are not beveled on the sides to fit under the passenger mirror without grinding away a bit of the interior plastic housing. Really easy install done through the bottom of the mirrors
Fik4
Factory puddle lamps I don't believe are LED and looked yellowish to me. You would at least want to replace with LED if not logo

The mirror just pops out. Start from the top and work your way around. Pull gently. Hope it works for you.
Chicho
Do these work for a 2013 MKZ Hybrid? Thanks

Thanks Yes, but on the right side mirror you might have to grind down the plastic inside the mirror a bit. Gardjhr13
Good afternoon. Thank you for your time. I was wondering exactly what you grinded down. I made the hole and grinded it down for quite a while and it still won't go in flush. I grinded everywhere around where it seemingly interferes. Thank you again for your time and all of your help. Have a great weekend.
