RealGomer
Has anyone done any performance tweaking on an MKZ? Such as a freer exhaust, freer intake, computer reprogramming, etc. I'd love to find a way to squeeze a few more MPG out of the 2.0T (EcoBoost) I have, since my 2013 Fusion with the 2.5 got 33+MPG all day long and at 70+MPH. Zalvern
Any modifications available for the 2.0T Fusion have high chance of being shared with a 2.0T MKZ. Quite the options available: Livernois, Custom Performance Engineering, Magnaflow, Steeda, Unleashed Tuning, Levels Performance, Mountune, Boomba Racing...just to name a few. Some Focus ST parts also can be shared. I modded my 2.0T Fusion quite a bit before moving onto my 3.0T MKZ. Was fun but needed greater heights and stability than the little 2.0T could dream of. Though gaining more MPG might be challenging as more fun comes from enjoying the power of a turbocharger.
RealGomer
Thanks. It has been fun laying rubber with a four banger.
jgatto
I have a 17 2.0 AWD. Got a Livernois tune. Just loaded the 89 octane boost last night. It has 87, 89, 91 and 93 tunes. I figured I'd try in stages. Haven't been able to open it up yet. Yesterday I drove home in bumper to bumper traffic and I could feel a noticeable difference but couldn't get enough space on the road to really play. I'll keep you posted.
