longislander
2 months and 2,000 miles into my MKZ and I simply could not be happier! I absolutely agonized over every choice I had to make when it came to ordering my car (mainly whether to get the Driver's Package - I didn't because of the low-profile tires) because it's so important to me that I LOVE my car. In this case I feel as if I hit a grand-slam home run! The look and colors both inside and out, interior comfort, the ride-and-handling balance, and probably most of all the feeling of effortless power make every drive, short or long, a thrill. I still go down to the parking garage at work several times a day just to look at it:)Coming out of a 2014 Cadillac CTS, I expected to feel as if the MKZ was a bit of a step down - so many articles point to the shared Ford Fusion architecture vs. Cadillac's "dedicated luxury-car" platform - but nothing could be further from the truth. I actually love the Lincoln even more! Edited July 1, 2017 by longislander jmcgliss, Robert Iggy Cerami and SteveB_TX
SteveB_TX
I still love to look :flirt: at my 2013, even though I have had it now for over 4 years and 33,000 miles. I too am in love  with my car. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) ;) jmcgliss and Robert Iggy Cerami
drolds1
I love mine too. I had 3 Lincoln LSes and loved them all. After the demise of the LS, I moved on to the MKZ. I had a 2010 and a 2012 with the Sport package and then a 2014. I would have ordered the 2014 with the handling package but it only was available with summer tires. They were all enjoyable to drive but the 2017 with the Driver's Sport Package is the first one that I feel is a worthy replacement to the LS in terms of ride and handling. And while the LS V8 was a lively performer in its day, this 3.0T would walk away from it I look for excuses to drive it, just I like I used to do with the LS. jmcgliss, Robert Iggy Cerami and SteveB_TX
KenZ
I have never been particularly loyal to a car brand. I typically would go to the Atlanta Car Show and sit in all the cars and then go out and buy something that was interesting to me or that I felt particularly drawn to at the show. That is what got me into a 2013 MKZ-H (my first Lincoln). I loved that car so much, when it was time to trade in my Wrangler a couple years later, I got a 2015 MKC 2.0. That was the first time in my very long life that I had every owned two cars of the same brand. I traded in my 2013 MKZ-H on a 2017 MKZ 3.0TT. That is the first time in my very long life that I have ever traded in for the same model. I would say that is love... Airflow
I have the same feelings about mine. Just so you know, the 19" wheels and low profile tires of the Driver's Package do not make for a rough ride on this car at all. The adaptive suspension in Comfort is like driving a cloud. Which I like when just cruising around casually.
longislander
Airflow, it's more about pothole damage than ride quality. I had a 2012 Buick Regal GS with 40-profile 19-inch tires and had to replace 3 tires over a short 24-month lease due to pothole damage! Glad you're loving yours - it is absolutely beautiful! AZ MKZ h
I get it....what's not to like about the MKZ. Glad that you are 'in love' with it. My first Lincoln MKZ was a 2014 hybrid loaded and with the pano roof and I loved it. Made the choice after the Int'l Car Show because the style was so unique. Just traded up to a '17 of course with the pano roof. I'll confess, I've looked in the garage a few times. Enjoy it...that's easy to do. Well that would explain not wanting to go low pro again. That must have been frustrating. And thank you! How did you like doing a 24 month lease? Sometimes I think about that. PM me if this question is thread jacking.
Drwilsc
I'm loving my '17 MKZ 3.0t also. I've had it about 10 months now. I came from a '14 Cadillac ATS 3.6. For roughly the same money, I have a faster car, nicer panoramic sunroof, nicer stereo, bigger/more comfortable, and no run-flat tires that jarred the whole car when a pothole was hit. The ATS did handle better with the alpha platform and got a bit better fuel economy. I have a feeling that when you buy the ATS/CTS, you are spending your money on the alpha platform, which admittedly is a good platform. Since the Lincoln shares with the excellent CD4 Fusion platform, they were able to spend the $ in other areas - like engine, sunroof, stereo, etc. Overall, I think that it's a good trade-off. I didn't love that car so I wasn't sorry to see it go back but my wife, who leased both a Verano and then an Encore under that program, felt it was too soon to give back a car that she really liked. Excellent points. In my case I'm paying about $100 a month less for a car that I like more! And I couldn't agree more, those run-flat tires on the CTS were awful in terms of impact-harshness on bumps. Absolutely ruined the ride quality! Airflow
Buick offered an "Experience Buick" lease program that not only was short-term but also included the XM radio and On-Star in the monthly payment so it was a very good value. So 36 months seems to be a sweet spot if you like the car then. It does go by pretty quick too. I agree in that run flats are not very good. I don't think the peace of mind outweighs the poor ride and high replacement cost.
ThriftyTim
Wish I could say the same. I bought a 2014 AWD with a 3.7 used with 17k. Have put 4K on it during road trips. It rides rough with a lot of rear end roll. Two trips to the dealer who can find nothing wrong.
CruzingGuy
I had just purchased a 2015 CPO MKz with the 2.0 and AWD. It is the Luxe Metallic color. I just got home from a 650 mile road trip through Oregon up into Washington to attend a golf tournament. I decided to go into Sport mode through the Oregon mountains on I-5 in southern Oregon. I was very impressed by the handling and performance for a car this size and weight. I am at this point very happy with my purchase. I have always liked the way the MKz looked from when it came out, with that sweeping rear window line. All in all very happy. jmcgliss

CruzingGuy
LOVE that color! Sorry they discontinued it for '17. They had a black model on the lot, but this looked far nicer. I have had black cars, they are your 2nd job. The black cars look amazing though when clean. But this is going to be a year round driver so hopefully will not show as much as the dirt.
