R2D2
Is there something that changed where you park your car? New security system....could be interference causing the key fob not to work It almost sounds like your battery is going, If you try jumping a car with an internally shorted battery, it may not start. Try temporarily subbing in another battery and starting the car, if that works get a new battery. junior2004

drolds1
There's a TSB for some 2013 MKZs exhibiting these symptoms. This might apply to your car. Note that although this is a TSB, since you're out of warranty, you'll have to pay out of pocket. It is, however, only .3 hr. of labor. Again, there's no gurantee that this is your problem. The dealer can check Ford OASIS to see if your car is included in the affected vehicles and can run a diagnostic to see if you have the latest calibration. R2D2
Junior, Sorry that did not work for you... drolds solution seems to be matching your description. If you do this.... make sure you bring both fobs to the dealer

NicholasNorris
Bring both fobs to a nearby locksmith, they will give a proper solution to that problem.
