Izzy3906
Izzy, I finally received the puddle lights. When I am taking out the existing ones, using a flat head on the tab, they always get caught on one side. I dont want to force it out. Any suggestions? Yes, put the screwdriver on the opposite side of the tab and push then pull down, it should bring it down and then release it from the Tab side. If anything you can pm me and I'll send you my cell phone number.

Izzy3906
Work in progress, eliminating the sub box and adding two 12 inch shallow Rockford Fosgate on each side of the trunk. Will bypass the oem amp of the MKZ with the LC7i to use the 4 channel Boss amp for the door speakers and rear deck speakers. The two 12 subs will be pushed by the Prime Rockford Fosgate 1200. evo

Xromelmx
Hello, this is an awesome build! I just have a few questions. I plan on having a custom subwoofer box built to install full size subs in my MKZ and i wanted to know, for the LC7i what speakers did you tap into for the subs and the door speakers to receive a full range signal? Hello, and thanks for the complement. For the LC7i the highs and mids I tap in to the wires input from the oem amp and for the lows, subwoofers I tap in to the rear deck 6x9 speaker wires. Let me know if this helped you or if you need more info.
Izzy3906
Replaced the 4ch BOSS with a 4ch Rockford Fosgate Punch P600X4 600 Watts RMS for the speakers on the doors. My Daughter gave me for my birthday a Memphis 16PRX2100 2ch Amp 300w RMS which I am using for the two rear deck 6X9. bigjailerman

Just a little FYI for you and others in the future. You can actually avoid jacking up the car by removing and replacing one lug nut at a time. Remove one, then replace it with the new lug nut. Just remove and replace each lug nut in the same "star" pattern as shown in the Owners Manual, starting with one and proceeding to the lug opposite it until all five are replaced, while torquing each lug properly before proceeding to the next. To do it completely correctly, check and re-torque after driving approximately 100 miles or so. Hope this helps someone in the future. Good luck. How do those enclosures hold up? any flexing or anything? I have far less room to work with given that the battery system etc. is in the trunk of the hybrid, so am thinking something like those formed enclosures may be the way to go. I think I have a battery and amp in the trunk however, so wiring may be somewhat simple... Oh, and where are you in TX? Austin here... Hello EVO a friend of mine made those enclosures and they are absolutely great. I am located in Killeen like an hour or less from Austin. We can probably meet up one day if you want to check them out.
