remaxman
I have looked everywhere for this update. Found one at navigation.com. They want 178.00 US? Outrages. Any ideas where I can find this at a reasonable cost?
KenZ
I have looked everywhere for this update. Found one at navigation.com. They want 178.00 US? Outrages. Any ideas where I can find this at a reasonable cost? Are you looking for a SD Card or DVD. I am not sure what the 2012 MKZ takes... If it is the SD card, which one is in there now? It might have a code like A4, A5, A5, A7? Edited April 13, 2017 by KenZ
drolds1
The MKZ didn't get MLT until 2013. Therefore, a 2012 doesn't use an SD card.

Trivee
Maybe someone on here will be willing. Or we can pool some loot and do it... I know I'd be good to go. I'll throw some in on it. If we can get enough people in on it

4N1M4L
Not sure, DrOlds can correct me, but i think the Map set is unique to a number in your radio. Don't think renting a set would help
Trivee
I don't know. ... if that's the case that would be useless. They don't stay in they just read as far as I could tell.

You have to give them an application code from your specific unit when ordering.
Trivee
That stinks. Why did I see some on amazon that says they will work for my car, and they are offered at 149$ while dealer wants 199$ and my employee discount doesn't apply
remaxman
You CAN NOT buy the cd s online as only the legal supplier sells them. They are specific for your car and your car only. I would guess the ones you saw on amazon or anywhere else is a scam. Mine cost me 263 bucks Canadian by the time they shipped them across the border to me. Don't be a sucker and by from the proper source.
remaxman
Oh and by the way they are still out dated and have a ton of missinformation as in very old restaurants and gas stations and missing roads. A real rip off.
4N1M4L
Oh and by the way they are still out dated and have a ton of missinformation as in very old restaurants and gas stations and missing roads. A real rip off. I just bought a set ( since our maps are now provided by HERE) and its all up to date. It worried me because it said installation of one of the disks can take 2 hours, but it actually keeps going if your car is turned off. I paid 165 "out the door" and i'm happy about it.....
