colinsz
I'm concerned about the car battery getting very hot due to proximity to engine (2017 MKZ 3.0). I've not had a car with a battery in such a (poor) location b4, and can see that it will cook very quickly in the hot summer months ahead. Other than relocation to trunk. has anyone given any thought to keeping it cool(er)? The alternator is putting out about 14 volts so no source of excess heat there. Any thoughts? C. schteve
The battery on my mazdaspeed 6 all but set on top of the turbo. The only thing I noticed was a "shorter" total life. The oe battery about 3 yrs and the autozone "gold" that I replaced it with lasted about 4 (was replaced under pro-rated rate -that essentially paid the "core" charge) colinsz
