newlinux
I haven't used the app too much, but I did use it successfully for a while. Over the last month the app has not been able to remotely do anything with the car. It no longer updates gas level, remotely lock or unlock car - doesn't even display updated mileage or oil levels anymore. It gives me a failure message when I try to unlock or lock. I've logged out and logged in, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No change. Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem? This is on a 2017 MKZ... Zalvern
The Telematics module (TCU) might need a reset. I had similar issues before, and a reset help fixed everything. If you go under your network information (shows things like latest Sync 3 version) etc. does the modem's number appear? If it is blank, then it somehow got "disabled". You can take it to the dealership, but FORScan is able to help reset it if you have a scantool device that accesses HS/MS-Canbus networks. schteve
I actually contacted Lincoln on this on Friday (my app stopped working) there is an onboard modem update for the pcu and it's a hard download(dealer only). Mine would not do anything from the app could start/lock/etc. Figure I will get it taken in and get the modem update and the audio control module update (chime/battery issue) done
schteve
So my car is at the dealer for the updates both PCU (modem) and ACU (chime/battery). When dropped off my service advisor let me know that the reflash has been very hit and miss and many times they end up replacing the modem. Will advise when complete
schteve
Car returned today - Lincoln way app is now working properly! The acm update was also done - so far no "dashboard" chime, only the full speaker chime

I'll have the dealer fix it soon...
newlinux
Dealer reset the TCU and all works now. Thanks.
Zalvern
Awesome! I have had that happen but only once, and since I reset it I have not had issues since then. Like schteve, I have had the ACM and PCM (I think that is what he meant? Not the TCU) updated as well. Getting the DDM (Driver's Door Module) is also ideal as it had an SSM issue out as well on possible battery drain. Known electronic gremlins have been annihilated now so far. newlinux
Well, this stopped working for me again.... Time to contact the dealer
newlinux
Just an update after months... Took it to dealer. They decided to replace the TCU and then everything worked again for a while. Winter is here so I went to use remote start --- and nothing. App has stopped working again. Modem number is blank again. Guess another appointment with the dealer. All fixes seem to be temporary.
