Zalvern
Wanted to share there is an ACM (Audio Control Module) software update finally available that helps with excessive battery draining and irregular door chime/parking sensor sound issues. It also should stop random resetting of audio settings with the system. Poor battery charge rates can also default and affect other module systems (including the PCM) and affect overall performance with the vehicle. So this is a must-get fix for anyone to look into. The 2017 Ford Fusion Sports were suffering from excessive battery drain, leading to owners finding dead batteries in their vehicle. There are 2017 MKZ's out there with this issue, among all engine types. Some may need a new ACM replacement, while others just need the software update. Inquire about the update at a Ford or Lincoln dealership and they should be able to apply this long awaited fix, as this is a known TSB. DeeCee
Do you have a TSB number for this?
Zalvern
I was told the bulletin number is 4515. Requesting the dealer to check module updates should be enough. I've been tracking the 2017 Fusion Sport's Battery issues between thier forums and Reddit. Glad thier experiences help push Fordand Lincoln to finally look into and fix this. Anyways I had the software update applied (along with any other modules) and so far, I have not had random electronic issues I would get before.
