Numerous calls to the Sync support in MI have made no success in getting it resolved. I get the message after clicking the request for a download that in a few minutes I will be notified by email to download the update but nothing is received. Have anyone experience this problem? Is there a direct site that this file can be downloaded? The file name for the update is DE8T-14D544-AG. Any help or info will be appreciated. Thank you. I tend to use Chrome most of the time, but I keep Firefox, Explorer and Edge on my desktop. Not necessarily with the Lincoln site, but I have found that sometimes downloads that don't fire up automatically in one browser will work perfectly in another. No authorization granted for the download on a return email. and with daboss suggestion it will not load. I modified the files as stated but when the USB is inserted the process just stops after 1 minute. It needs that DE8T-14D544-AG file. Sync support in MI stated that their customer/VIN server and software server that dispatches the correct software are not communicating to each other but that was 7 weeks ago. After 8 calls to the center and went as high I can go when no success. I ask them to drivegoogle it to me but the request was not granted because special permission must be passed higher up. I am 40 year retired network/repair technician and can not understand why this is so complicated after 7 weeks. Hmmmmmmm. Thanks for all your suggestions. JediBoyTJ Posted December 7, 2016 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Been trying for just as long as you have. Even had it escalated through Fords IVT team on the Ford Sync Forum. Still no response 5 weeks later. All we can hope for is enough people escalating and complaining about the issue to get them to finally fix it. Last year when I found the 4.4 update (before it was pulled) it just downloaded right away, there was no 'request' page, just a standard download link. I dont understand why this version has to be any different. I just want the autoplay bluetooth feature to work, so I dont have to switch to it every time I start the car. Even taking to the Sync supervisor did not not help for cure. I gave up on calling in. Same statement reason all the time. Well...the wait goes on. SirLoinOfBeef Posted February 2, 2017 Share Posted February 2, 2017 The download link for the 4.6 Sync Gen 1 DR3T-14D544-AG update for my 2012 Lincoln MKZ finally worked for me today on the Lincoln Owner website. The update installed OK using the instructions on the website. Make sure the car is running when doing the update otherwise the .xml file (used to notify Lincoln of a successful install) is not copied to your USB stick when completed. The main advantage of 4.6 is the new System Reboot feature that can get things working again without temporarily having to disconnect the battery (which was occasionally necessary when Bluetooth couldn't be made to work using other means). wonko Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 So I just updated my 2011 MKZ AWD, and it went smoothly. I did a Vehicle Health Report, and it seems to have informed them of the update. When I went to do it wit the USB stick and XML file, it was already showing as updated. Just something to keep in mind if you don't want to have to deal with the XML file.
