I wasn't referring to OTA updates....First of all i was making people aware that software tweaks were made on the 17 models...Second i was creating a topic to discuss...Maybe a moderator or two might actually read these discussions...Finally...I could have easily contacted Lincoln but then you wouldn't  have known the answer....P.S,,,I was referring to the update via usb through my Lincoln Touch.  Thanks for the reply!

First of all, I'm the one and only moderator here.  Perhaps you missed Moderators below my screen name.  Obviously, then, a moderator reads the discussions.  That said, what's your point?

Yes, you created a topic for discussion, as does every new topic. It's a forum.  And yet you state that you could have gotten the answer from Lincoln but the how would we know?  Seems like a contradiction to me.  If you wanted to create this topic for discussion and you'd gotten an answer from Lincoln, why wouldn't we know? Wouldn't you want to post that answer as well?

WRT OTA updates, you asked if Lincoln would send these updates to 2013-2016 vehicles.  I see no other way to interpret this phrasing as other than an OTA update.  How else would an update be sent to a vehicle?

Lastly, from the linked article you posted:

The answer is no, although both hybrid Fusions get revised powertrain control software that provides what Ford says will be a more natural driving experience.

You're under a fundamental misconception if you think that a PCM/TCM update can be done via the USB port of your MLT.  PCM updates can only be done by a dealer via the Ford VCMII/IDS tool which can only be connected to the OBDII port in conjunction with a laptop PC.

I apologize i did indeed miss the Moderators below your name. I'm well aware of the programming tools needed to program or re-program a PCM. i was referring to the SYNC updates that we performed ourselves in the past few years...3.6 3.7 3.8 etc. Some of these updates allowed our hybrid vehicles to perform better..MPG Reduction..although higher speed EV mode operation...etc.My last vehicle was a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid in which i performed both the 3.7 and 3.8 updates Myself. I believe that if you are indeed a Moderator...My Original question has been answered. Thank You for your Enlightenment!!
