bobhamb Posted August 1, 2016 Share Posted August 1, 2016 I wonder why they can't make a rooftop carrier for our vehicle? I want to carry my kayak and have all the attachments from Thule, but they do not make rails for our car (most every other car) My trailer hitch works fine for my bicycles, but kayaks need to be on the roof. ozman212 Posted August 4, 2016 Share Posted August 4, 2016 I actually wondered the same thing. Since I really used my last roof rack on my 13' Escape, I was looking for an alternative for my MKZ. I came across a website called discountramps.com and found a good universal one for $30 and you can pretty much attach anything on it, from bike racks to kayak clamps. I use it to haul around my 7' Ladder. It is very sturdy and comes with rubber feet so you don't scratch your roof. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
