Peter Vandermat
Anyone else find it odd there are no reviews of the 2017 MKZ out yet? Most of the time the press gets access to the cars before they are on sale to the public. The 2017 MKZ has been out for any least 6 weeks, and there are zero reviews on it... Did Lincoln not hold a press event, or is there some sort of embargo? Just curious...

schteve
There have been a few review some Random you tube reviewers. But your right. Very little from the "big boys". I think a lot of it has to do with "it's just a new nose, same car" combined with the late availability of the 3.0.
Peter Vandermat
Maybe, but the 2017 Ford Fusion is barely a new nose, and not near the amount of changes in the cabin, and all the "big boys" have done reviews on it... No love for the MKZ?
schteve
It's a Lincoln. Kind of a red headed step child so to speak
brucelinc
I am surprised that there has been no review of one with the 3.0 and the driver's package. That really is a big change from past MKZs and quite a bit was made of this when it was announced last year. I hope to drive one myself soon. I trust my own judgement more than the people who do road tests anyway.
Myron D. Brown
I'm sure it's because of limited availability. I saw one review of the 3.0, but it was all in Spanish. And the guy didn't drive the car, just an inside/outside walkaround.

brucelinc
The video does a nice job of describing and showing the features. Thanks for sharing. The person speaking was not the most engaging but it was a nice demonstration. I look forward to seeing some actual road tests of the 3.0 model. But I noticed he said the rear seats didn't fold. That's incorrect.
shortspark
Myron, I assume the rear seats are split. Do they both fold flat? I think there is little trunk space so if both rear seats (60/40, I think) fold that would increase space a great deal.
schteve
They are a 60/40 split. Myron D. Brown

shortspark
Here is another review, if you want to call it that. They guy is a little stuck on himself and he uses some pretty rough language at times. However, it is a review nonetheless I guess. Basically, he is saying the MKZ is fine but could be more exciting.
Myron D. Brown
Yea...I shared one above. We think the same thing. I got so frustrated with him, I had to stop watching. JHVJXN
shortspark
Yes, the one you posted is more polished and a better review. Today I've been looking at youtube walkarounds of the redesigned Buick LaCrosse that should hit showrooms pretty soon. Dollar for dollar it seems like a really good sedan. I will have to compare it with the MKZ.
Myron D. Brown
Some of these folks doing reviews seem like they're just bashing every little detail.

shortspark
That is very true and precisely the reason the MKZ is so high on my list.
brucelinc
There are plenty of the 3.0 MKZs out there and customers are taking delivery. I am very surprised that there have been no tests conducted and put on the web. Same with the Fusion Sport. Ford must not be providing any vehicles to the press. Seems a bit unusual considering they have provided lesser engined models for testing.
shortspark
One of the cars I am thinking of buying, (along with the MKZ/Continental), is the new Buick LaCrosse. Buick brought a bunch of them out in every configuration and invited car reviewers to drive them in the Portland, OR. area. This coming out party was just a few days ago and since then there have been a bunch of reviews, both on car websites and youtube. I don't understand why Lincoln did not do something like this. If they did it was ignored. Here is an example:

International J
Electrical issues.... But I don't want to say to much until all of this is resolved. But I will say anyone in Northern Virginia... Dint buy from Ted Britt! Go a lil further to another Lincoln dealer like East West Lincoln! Well say more next week
