2017 MKZ orders

Recommended Posts

Finally...its mine. Turns out it DID arrive Saturday too! It was hidden among the MKC and MKX section on the lot. Even my salesman was like "What the heck?".

OMPuD2ah.jpg

...But it came with a flaw: The windshield had chip damage during transportation. A bummer to behold, but I am getting a brand new OEM one without any hassle.

Other than that everything else is excellent. I'll share more pictures when this quiet beast is all detailed and cleaned tomorrow.

Congrats on the new arrivals  ;) Schteve and Zalvern.

Thanks! Though I have the windshield chip, it's an issue that can be easily resolved which Lincoln didn't hesitate to promise to correct. So I signed the lease after getting scheduled which I'll bring it back for replacement about a week later.

So since I'm probably one of the few out there with Vineyard style, here is some pictures (not the greatest but I'll get more angles and such in due time).

It looks a bit terracotta from a distance but then it gets more maroon/burgundy which is really cool. I was a bit worried it may look too feminine at first, but it doesn't at all. Totally dig it.

Very nice!

I'm about two weeks away from mine getting here.

(that is if my dealer is correct)

I'd like to hear your first impressions of the drivetrain.

I assume you are still taking it easy but just the same.

Wow!! Your car looks awesome. Congratulations to you and everyone who is lucky enough to have them!! I'm am so OVER Lincoln right now. I spoke with my dealer this morning and mentioned this forum. I told the salesman that others across the country had special ordered either models with the 3.0 engine or the Black Label trim (or both) and had taken delivery with photo evidence. And he was feeling hopeful that they're now starting to really "roll out." I also mentioned that people on this forum had been tracking their Lincolns across the company via rail car numbers, etc. He was adamant about mine being on a truck. I inquired about them being transported from the factory by rail cars--and then transported by the truck for the very "last leg" of their journey. He said that not all of them are transported by train--apparently every dealership/car has a different situation. This makes absolutely no sense to travel by truck from Mexico to North Carolina. And as usual, before we hung up, he assured me that "they're just as anxious to get the car and sell it to me as I am." I am jealous of you all. LOL. My entire summer has gone by and I have not been able to enjoy it with a new MKZ. Once August gets here, I will be crazy busy. They better get it together soon...or I'm thinking this is going to be my first and LAST Lincoln.

Mine only has a little over a hundred miles on it but the Lincoln statement of effortless power is true. It has tremendous torque. Make sure that the stupid dealer doesn't put 87 octane in your car as mine did. The car will run just fine on it but, it will reduce power.

I love mine so far.

Man, I want to say try another dealer but seeing you are seeking a Black Label as well. Have you tried the chat on Lincoln's website (I had best results with Erick)? Do you have your VIN even? If you don't have your VIN...I doubt they even ordered it correctly. It really doesn't take them long to build these things, minus factory closures. It's the transportation that is the touchy part.

If you can hang in there for the vehicle, you won't regret the vehicle itself. Dealerships can always be a hit or miss...

It's not just the torque, its the horsepower too its in perfect harmony! It may be a 6 speed transmission, but the 6F55 is definitely well built. I'm impressed by the dedicated cooler it has too, which is great.

I was a bit fearful about the "lower quality gas" going into mine as well. But I was able to be a bit sneaky: My salesman let me test drive the car on my own (I really respect him for trusting me so much), so I went and sneaked  93 premium gas at the start before anyone else could do it. My excuse was the tank was at 0 (even though I know it has reserve fuel) and didn't want to get stranded while running around the back roads. Haha, he was mostly upset because apparently its a BIG deal that the dealership serves the customer their first tank of gas. I really didn't mind buying it myself, but said even when I get the survey, do not mention anything about filling it up yourself or so. I know their ratings are honestly at times a bigger deal than just making a sale, so I'll just play along because either way I'm satisfied.

He gave me a free full tank of gas voucher though. After all the waiting, I do give much respect to my Lincoln dealer.

Well picked it up today. I found a couple of small issues they have already ordered the fixes Just a scratch on one of the surround molding and a trim piece that didn't get snapped all the way down

Yeah, mine had a chip in the windshield, but as long Lincoln does the right thing and replaces it without any cost on us, its all good. Things like that can happen with the long transportation or assembly line easily. I'm more happy all the internal components and engine of course are running great.

I look forward to test driving one but my dealer doesn't expect to have a 3.0 for a couple of weeks.  I am pretty sure I will like the powertrain - especially after a tune is developed for it.  What I really need to determine is if the ride, quiet, and comfort meets my expectations.  I have been extremely pleased with my MKS and my plan all along was to replace it with a Continental.  However, I don't really drive that many miles and I no longer need a large back seat so having a $65,000 car is a bit of overkill in my case.

I don't go to dealers for service and I would not pay much extra for the Black Label interiors so a Reserve would be fine for me.  Equipped the way I would want it, the sticker is around $53,000 and the dealer is willing to get very aggressive on pricing.  That is NOT the case if I were to order a Continental.

You guys who have them already, keep your reviews and comments coming!!

Congratulations, 17MKZ30T! The one I priced out was $53,085 sticker and $49,884 invoice. White platinum with terracotta. Climate, tech, Revel, single panel roof, multi-contour seats.

I drove a base Premier model this morning with just the 2.0. I will drive a 3.0 when they get one in. I am working with North Country Ford/Lincoln where I have purchased my last 2 vehicles.

Before I switched to the MKZ (Owned a 13 hybrid - Currently 15 3.7) my previous 4 cars were Mercedes S classes .. I can honestly say that the MKZ equals the MB in ride comfort, handling and quietness... Great car... have 1 yr left on my lease than it will be a 2017 3.0 T for me

Robert, which wheels were/are on your MKZs? I am curious if there is a noticeable difference in ride and quietness with the 19s vs the 18s.

Both had 19' .. Lincoln gave me a MKZ loaner a few times and it had the 18' ... The 18s seemed to ride a little smoother probably because  it was a taller tire.. That is my opinion.. I like the sportier look of the 19s and living in So Cal we have very good roads and very rarely come across pot holes so the 19s are fine for me

Nice! I test drove a 2016 3.7 V6 AWD around 300HP as close as I could get to the 3.0T.

I'm getting mine from Morries Minnetonka Ford/Lincoln

Usually buy from Morries Buffalo Ford.

I've bought or leased 7 vehicles from them for me or my wife over the past 15 years. This will be number 8.

But since they don't sell Lincolns they sent me over to Minnetonka.

Where I work offers Ford partners discount so I get X-plan pricing.

mine will be $47097 with all the incentives, etc.

You can probably do as good or better if you want to haggle but

for me x-plan is pretty painless.

I've been watching this thread like a hawk for the last month and a half now, trying to get a solid timetable for the arrival of my 2017 MKZ. From what I've noticed there's no standard, just a lot of praying and luck, lol. I'm waiting on a Black Reserve, Cappuccino interior, FWD, Gas,  with the tech & climate package, optional wheels, 14 speaker Revel and a Panoramic Roof. I ordered it 6-6-16 and unfortunately have a build date of 8-15-16, which is a week after their shutdown. I found that out here, so thanks for that bad news, lol. Jk.

It will be my first Lincoln but I've wanted the MKZ since like 2008 when I seen the commercial for it with the push button start. I think I picked the perfect time to buy one...having that new front grille and SYNC 3 :-)

I did the same thing.  I went x-plan also.  It's just easier to go in and know exactly what you are paying.  The document fees are limited to $100 also which can save you money.

I went with x plan as well. As some probably saw, I did opt for one of the highest costs an MKZ can get. Skipping Chroma Paint and the Panoramic Roof would of been 3 to 4 grand more.

One rule of thumb in regards to a good lease is the monthly payment is $135 for every 10,000 in the car to get a great lease pricing point. Mine thus is 60,000. So 135 x 6 for $810 and that is for the standard 10,500 to 12,000 mileage range.

I got $796 with a 15,000 mileage average with no additional cash other than my 1,000 deposit to place my order. Some may score even better, but I'm very satisfied with what I am getting to use in return. Beyond just the bill, I place value in service and assistance as well.

My dealer mounted and balanced my tires ( 8 in total, as I bought Pilot Super Sports to use during warm temp months, and will use the all season for when its too cold for summer rubber) for free. So I consider benefits like that towards a solid trade. Ganley Lincoln of Middleburg Heights has my respect.
