Grey03
Talked to my dealer this morning. My car is now in Michigan. (Getting closer). He said its scheduled for the 22nd to arrive at the dealership. Fingers crossed that I will get it in a week.
schteve
Grey, just curious are you located in MI? Sounds like our cars are on the same train. Last tracking status I got from m the rail at tracking was Thornton junction (outside of Chicago) at 1:00 am this morning. Not sure where the unload ramp would be (possibly flat rock) which would only be about an hour drive on the truck. Fingers crossed for midweek delivery here

Myron D. Brown
Are there "standard" routes these cars take from Hermosillo? I'm assuming they start on Union Pacific...and obviously are transferred over to CSX or Norfolk Southern if they cross the Mississippi River. I'm wondering which route comes to NC. shortspark
The concierge is online or available through phone (same as the dealer). But the online is available nearly 24/7. It's an option really not an additional layer I personally like to follow things closely so for me (so as not to be a pest to the sales person) I get "major" updates from my salesman and then do all the "minor" tracking info seeking etc usually not during "normal" business hours That allows me to feel more informed and closer to the process and still allows my salesman to perform his function (selling and delivering cars) Just my $0.02 Well, that makes sense I guess. For a customer it is always good to have as many contact people as possible. Although I have had luxury vehicles before I never had one with a concierge before the fact, ie, before delivery of the vehicle. Mercedes provides concierge service as part of its upgraded MBrace - but you pay for it. If you follow things that closely I guess it is a very good thing to have. International J
Just ordered my 2017 MKZ Reserve 3.0T AWD last Wednesday May 25th. Magnetic with Terra Cotta/Ebony interior, Panoramic Glass roof, Climate Pkg, Multicontour Seats and Optional 19" wheels. I wonder when production of the 3.0T models will begin? I had a long wait with another "Late Availability" order a few years ago. Looks just like mine... I'm trying to order some rims online but i can't confirm the lug pattern. I guess I'll run down to Firestone tomorrow and have them measure. I wonder if it's the same as the 2016 model?

Bolt Pattern is still the same being 5x108. Hybrid and 2.0T are still M12 x 1.5 Lug Nuts. International J

longislander
Still wondering if the tire size for the 3.0t with Reserve package is 245/45R19 or 245/40R19. I mean the standard tire, not the summer Tire option.
schteve
I got the standard tire (not summer) and it is the 245/40r19 Looks like the only way to get a 45 profile is with the 18" wheel or Black label with drivers package Edited July 18, 2016 by schteve

My Black Label is coming with only 245/40/R19 XL which I expect to be all seasons for the summer tire option was only for the reserve trim with driver's package. Though I'm fine with that because I bought myself some 245/40/R19 XL Michelin Pilot Super Sports to swap onto the 2017 Black Label wheels. I actually have 2015 Black Label wheels to use as my colder/winter seasons wheels (they still look awesome) which I'll put the OEM rubbers on. 17MKZ30T
Great news schteve! My ETIS now shows a build date of 7/18/2016 just what my dealer told me. I hope he's going to be 2 for 2 because he also told me a delivery date of 8/8/16.

schteve
i am a bit bummed currently.... mine has been 'On truck for delivery to dealership" since yesterday morning and it still isn't at the dealership (btw flat rock to troy is approx 20 WHOLE miles)
hermans
Make sure you really check with the dealer. It won't show as delivered to the dealer until they check it in. I had this happen before. I got an update once that it was awaiting delivery, but drove to the dealer and found it on their back lot. The car had been there for 2 days. I went to the dealer GM and asked when they were going to check it in. His reply was basically oops. Flat Rock to Troy is just under 50 miles. I drive it frequently. I don't live there, but I probably should move there for as much as I drive it. Hope you enjoy your 2017. I've decided that I have bought way too many cars recently and will keep my 2013 for awhile longer. I think that will be on my list of things to do to mine since I didn't get the drivers package. It would be great to get a report on your first impressions of the 3.0T motor once you take delivery. Mine has been "on a truck" since June 27. I'm hoping it finally shows up by Monday or so. Audi and BMW are looking more appealing everyday... shortspark
Looks great!!!!! Congratulations! Now get the camera ready. We want LOTS of photos inside/out. BTW, I forgot if I asked this before but does MKZ have that start/stop "technology"? Not the cruise thing but like when you come to a stop light the engine shuts off and turns back on when you give it gas. Grey03
