GlennA
Has anyone else noticed the out of focus back up camera on their 2013 MKZ? It is vastly inferior to my SHO that I just sold. Any experience getting this fixed? My dealer said, it's up to the company. Ford Motor says they haven't heard any complaints. That's hard to believe. jgeorg
I would agree with your observation that the 2013 MKZ camera is not as clear as was on the 2010 MKZ that I owned. It does provide the direction of where the rear wheels are heading as you turn the steering wheel, which the 2010 did not have. Also, the green, yellow and red settings are presented differently. I have over 6000 miles on my car and have gotten used to the lower contrast of the rear view camera, but like you, wish it were brighter with more contrast. I woulld not agree it is out of focus. GlennA
When you get time after delivery, I would urge you to pass along your disappointment about the back up camera to the dealer and the company. If they don't get this feedback, they're unlikely to do anything when there's a better product available.
SteveB_TX
Not the best picture I agree. Didn't the 2010-2012 Fusion and MKZ have the backup picture in the rearview mirror ( I know for a fact it was on the 2010 Fusion) ? I'm betting it's just that the same image is now being sent to the 7" MLT/MFT screen instead of the tiny image on the mirror. Just a guess. ;) Edited July 30, 2013 by SteveB_TX
