A few days after I got the car back from its last service, I noticed a few oil drops on the garage floor.  I determined that it was motor oil and got it up on ramps to see if I could find the source.  I could definitely see oil but couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. The undershield obscures the view and I didn't feel like removing it. I called my SA and he told me to bring it in the next day.  He figured that the oil filter wasn't completely tightened after the recent oil change.  He took me into the service bay to show me that there was indeed oil dripping from the filter.  The tech told me that he sees some 3.7s leaking oil like this.  He said that it was as tight as he felt comfortable making it.  I asked if it could be a bad filter gasket and he said it was possible.  They agreed to put a new filter on and have me watch it.  I did that and it's still leaking.  I'll probably get back to them this week.  IDK what the next step is.  This is a lease and I probably have less than a year to go but I don't want oil on my garage floor and a car with 17K miles on the clock should not be leaking oil.

More to come.

If there is an oil leak from where the filter attaches and a new filter did not correct the problem then there is something else not right.... just saying

Absolutely.  I didn't catch all of the conversation between the tech and the SA, but I thought I heard something about a new engine.  When I mentioned that on my way out, the SA smiled  and said we'd see.

This should be interesting.

Update:  The leak has stopped.  I'm figuring there was some residual oil form the leak that hadn't run off completely.  I would have thought that they would have cleaned all of that up but, hey, who knows?  :headscratch:

I'll continue to watch it.
