Alicia Marie
The fuse keeps going out in my 2013 Lincoln MKZ of course I purchased it used but this is getting silly. I've taken it in already twice to get the fuse replaced. Has this happened to anyone else. It affects my seats and steering wheel controls. I love the car but I can do without this issue. drolds1
If a fuse blows twice, there has to be a reason, e.g., a short circuit in the wiring. Just replacing it is addressing the symptom, not the cure and the same thing will keep happening until the cause is eliminated. Is the car still under the factory 4/50 warranty? If so, make a dealer service appointment. If not, find a competent automotive shop that can diagnose electrical problems.
Alicia Marie
Ok so I made an appt and took it in. It was there for nearly two weeks when it finally went out on the them. Something dealing with my seat track. So they replaced the entire track. Really hope this fixed that problem. Thanks drolds1 for the suggestion. drolds1
Wow! Two weeks? I hope they gave you a loaner car. At least they made a conscientious effort at finding the problem. Let's hope that it's fixed.
Alicia Marie
Yup two weeks. I believe it's cause they had to order the part. They did give me a loaner car, 2015 MKZ. They did great. Now to enjoy my baby! :-)
