Stang99x Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 My wife has a 2013 MKZ, and I have been looking at wheels to go with it. It's the Smoked Quartz color, and the factory silver finish wheels just don't really fit our tastes. I like darker color stuff, not a chrome fan. I like the looks of the MMD 551C wheels made by American Muscle. Thing is they are made for Mustangs, and I'm unsure on the offset difference and width change. It seems the factory wheels are 18x8 with a 55mm offset. I've been looking at a wheel at least 8.5" wide, and most have an offset of 35mm. Any wheel guru's out there know if that combo will work without causing scrubbing? drolds1 Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Those wheels will not fit your car. The 2013+ went to a 108mm bolt pattern. These are 114.3, which the first-gen cars (and Mustang) use. I wouldn't mess around too much with wheels on these cars. You don't know how it will affect the Lincoln Drive Control dynamics. As long as all the wheels have the same rolling circumference, there shouldn't be a problem with the AWD, although IDK how much you can deviate from stock before there are AWD issues. I had a 98 Mark VIII with the 4.25 years ago, pissed me off so much I converted it to 4.5 with Cobra brakes and all. I had read somewhere else that the bolt pattern was the same, seems they need to update their information. As for options, what I really want is the 19" factory wheels in the PVD Black Chrome. I'm just not paying what those vendors want for them. Guess it's back to the drawing board. And the car has the tech package and every option offered, minus the sunroof and AWD. tuminatr Posted May 11, 2016 Share Posted May 11, 2016 You can run aftermarket wheels and as a general rule most manufactures allow for a 3% variance from the factory ride height. The factory offset is 55mm on the 18" and a little less on the 19" because they are wider. Come winter I will install a aftermarket set of 245/45/18 18x8 5x108 +40mm offset and winter tires.
