jtmenniti
I dont get how people keep saying the interior isn't up to par, or seems cheap. I traded in my BMW 328 and I find the 2013 MKZ interior to be WAY better then the BMW. And everyone that gets in my car can't believe how nice the interior is and how comfortable. SteveB_TX
I guess compared to a Rolls or a Bentley, the MKZ interior is cheap. Compared to my 2005 Mustang, it is a palace! I love the interior... soft leather, french stitching, soft touch materials throughout. Sure there is some of the old hard plastics around the door sill and on the console, but who cares! My 2 cents. ;) robertlane, jtmenniti and Driver
robertlane
Flat out, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ is awesome! Driver
jtmenniti
I agree Steve. No matter what people are going to dog Ford and Lincoln. Always calling Lincoln a readied Ford. My favorite are the Lexus fans, or rebadged camry Driver and SteveB_TX
robertlane
You virtually have to "inherit" a platform from another vehicle: Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti to make these cars possible. Same goes for other technology sharing.
Johnman
How could the Tribune get the EPA mileage numbers so wrong? It should be 45/45. That's the main reason for buying a hybrid! Almost negates any positive review by misleading the reader.

Almost negates any positive review by misleading the reader. I agree. The mileage number is an absolutely essential part of any story about a hybrid vehicle and the Tribune certainly got that part wrong. John M Young
I dont get how people keep saying the interior isn't up to par, or seems cheap. I traded in my BMW 328 and I find the 2013 MKZ interior to be WAY better then the BMW. And everyone that gets in my car can't believe how nice the interior is and how comfortable. I have a new 2014 MKZ. I'm very happy, the car feels very plush to me...but the center console plastic and plastic around the window controls feels cheap, The worst part is the push buttons to change gears are part of the center console and feel like cheap plastic to me. That said I never notice it unless looking for it, but I can see that an auto reviewer might pick up on this, that's what they are paid for. One other observation is that I get no squeaking or anything like that from the MKZ so maybe the plastic isn't really as cheap as it feels, as I said in another post the MKZ is the quietest car I have ever owned. Coming from Infinity G37 convertible that I expected to be a little noisy...price you pay for a convertible. Also in the first paragraph the reviewer does say the MKZ gets 45 mpg ratings across the board.
