Thanks for the heads up on that file 3 of 14, it takes a while to process. :)

Once it got past that it went quicker through the rest of the files.

I didn't have any issues and it went quite smoothly.

Care to share this "source" for your fellow '13 owners?  :)

It's on the fusion hybrid forms under one of the 3.8 update forms. Look for the post from IraF. He has a link to his dropbox account and you can download it from there. It works. Have a funderful day.....

Note - My 2015 Escape (that I got rid of) was still on my Ford Owner site and there was a download there. I downloaded it and tried to update unsuccessfully. Turns out the owner site download was missing 2 files. IraF's download includes the two iles needed for the update to work. I also used it to update my 2015 MKC.

Thanks for the info Hermans, but I downloaded the update from the MyLincoln website.  It installed just fine.  Reporting it to Sync was a bear, as I ended up having to turn off all my ad and tracker blocking add-ons in Firefox.  Unfortunately, the MyFord website does not show an update available for our 2013 Fushion Hybrid.  I wonder if the file I downloaded from the MyLincoln site will work on the Fusion?  Hmmm...  :whistling:

The Lincoln site  showed there was not an update for my MKZh. Same with the MKC. The one I used was from someone who owns a  Fusion. They worked for both my Lincolns. I was not able to report the updates as both sites said there was none.

Let's hope the IV person on the FFH forum can get some fixes going so the MyFord site will start showing an update being available.  I guess I will go ahead and install the update I got from MyLincoln, and just wait until the MyFord site gets its stuff together to report it.  :)

I have a 2013 MKZh and 2015 MKC.  The Lincoln site did show Sync updates for both.  I downloaded both and updated each separately without any problems.  I don't know for sure if the actual update files were different.  Both were the exact same file size.

I wonder if they don't show update available for everyone at the same time to avoid a log-jam of the system.  Sort of like Windows 10 did with it's upgrade.  My notification for Windows 10 update was across 10 days for my 3 windows based computers.

:)  I didn't wait for MS to notify me on my 5 windows machines.  I just downloaded the ISO file, burned it to DVD, and installed the thing on all the machines.  :)

Hello, I'm new, but I just bought a used '15 MKZ and was trying to update my SYNC to use with siri but the Lincoln site is telling me 3.7 is the latest update even though clearly there was a 3.8 after, Wondering if anyone still has that 3.8 file available? Thanks!

I upgraded my 2015 MKZ from Sync 3.7 to 3.8 back in January. The only caveat I can see is that your 2015 car must have the MyLincolnTouch system of Sync in order to upgrade, but I think all 2015 cars had that. The dealer should be able to install the upgrade for you, btw.

So I downloaded this update from the dropbox and the first thing I noticed was that when it starts installing the files it says 1 of 8, whereas others are referring to 1 of 14. Did I do something wrong?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the 3 of 14 that everyone was referring to, ha!

The Fusion forum has a helpful thread. There was a 3.10 update that existed for just a little bit. I have it on my Edge, no noticeable changes but it's there.

Thanks Laminar.  That was a helpful thread.  I have downloaded the 3.8 update from a link in that thread and it installed perfectly.  Seems to be faster response of Sync all around, but is most noticeable on the touchscreen. I don't have an iPhone, so I can't use the new Siri stuff but overall 3.8 (Technically 3.08) seems to be much better than 3.6.  I will use 3.8 for a few weeks and then perhaps update to 3.10.

If anyone is interested, this is direct link to download the 3.8 update.  Just run the EXE and extract it all to a blank fat32 formatted USB drive:
