  1. Does anyone have experience with using a rear-mounted bike rack (see attached) on their 2013 or later MKZ? I'm concerned that the black plastic or composite material on the upper third of the trunk-lid will get cracked due to weight and/or scratched by the clips used to attach the top portion of the rack. The one photographed is listed as a match for the make & model, but In my mind I need a little more assurance. I don't have a trailer hitch, and would prefer not to install one just to carry around my bike. My car has the pano roof so top mount racks are out of the question. Any info is appreciated!
  2. Has anyone noticed the way the traunk is finished on the 2015 MKZ hybrid? If you remove the cover and look at where the spare tire used to be, now replaced by the mobility kit, the finish is very poor. The areas are metal covered by some sort of coating. You would have though that this area would look finished, as it is part of the trunk that is seen when you get the mobility kit. It is also usable storage space. But it is very disappointing to look at because it looks like a very unprofessional finish.
  3. Well, 3500 miles on my 2015 and my deck lid won't latch. Except for the first week that I owned the car, I've always used the button on the deck lid to close it. I did notice from the beginning that the deck lid closed pretty hard and bounced as it shut. I had planned to have the dealer see if it could be adjusted so that it wouldn't close so hard, but tonight when I pushed the button to close the lid, it went down but didn't latch. I pushed the button again and nothing happened. Then I tried to shut it manually and it still wouldn't latch. So after driving home from the market with the deck lid partially open, I unloaded the groceries, climbed into the trunk, and tied the deck lid down with a heavy cord. I then proceeded to make an on-line appointment with the dealer, only to find out that there was an error in retrieving the scheduling information. So I couldn't make an appointment tonight and will have to call them in the morning. I love my car, and I want Lincoln to be successful, but I hope this isn't an indication of more problems further down the road.
  4. How the heck do I open the 2013 MKZ hybrid trunk with the fob in my pocket?? I really don't want to call the dealer to ask that.... :hammer_self:
