I leased a 2016 MKZ this April and overall am 99% pleased with this car. I've already taken several road trips for a total of 3700 miles, I get complements all the time on its appearance (Bronze Fire w/20"polished aluminum wheels, Pano roof) and it's great for long trips. This is my first Lincoln and second Ford product. About 500 miles or so ago a very obvious squeaky rattle started in the rear speaker shelf. It's nearly constant and occurs with even the most minimal road movements. The speakers work fine and nothing appears loose or out of the ordinary. The reason it's problematic is it's right behind the rear seat passengers' heads and is very annoying in the back. Based on past experience, I know dealers wont even entertain a conversation about "squeaks and rattles" but this is too much for a car this new at this price point. Is this a known issue with this model/year? (I have the THX Surround audio option) Does anyone have any experience with Lincoln service addressing these types of minor (yet very real) issues? I'm going to try some troubleshooting myself by having a friend drive me around with me sitting in the back, but so far it's nothing obviously wrong so I'm on weak ground to explain it more succinctly. Any comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
