  1. I have a 2011 MKZ Hybrid that we purchased in August with 86K miles. I would like to install after market LED Headlight bulbs in. I have purchased them H7 for high beams and H11 for the low beams I have done this on other vehicles with good results, but they have all had standard lights. I noticed that mine has HID bulbs and I am not sure if there is a ballast to deal with or a simple plug and play as with regular bulbs. The other dilemma is that the bulbs look to be a bit of a challenge to get to. I saw on You tube that you need to take off the bumper, or go through the wheel wells to access the bulbs. I am sure that I can do either one, but was hoping that maybe someone else has attempted this and has some pointers to share. We have gotten used to the brighter, whiter light of the LED bulbs and really would like to upgrade.
  2. I have a 2007 MKZ. The previous owner had HID headlights installed. The installers did not replace the rubber piece that seals the back of the headlight where the wires go through. Needless to say I now have moisture and dirt inside the headlight. Is there a way to pull the covers from the outside to clean? I have had to remove HID's due to a problem on the left side. Before installing new ones and a wiring harness, I want to eliminate the problem. I have purchased the missing rubber piece. Any guidance is appreciated.
