I have a 2014 MKZ. I am coming up on needing new tires. The dealership has quoted me an arm and a leg for new tire, but I am not excited about getting my tires changed by a 3rd party in case they damage my tire pressure sensors. If that happens, I will not be in warranty to have the sensors fixed... So, what do you think about getting tires replaced by a 3rd party for a cheaper rate? Worth the risk of being out of warranty to save a few bucks? Context: I had a blow out a few months back and I was on my way back on a 5 hour drive and had to have the tire replaced to get home. The only place open was a small shop that may have damaged my tire pressure sensor when they replaced it (or it was damaged in the blow out). Either way, since I didn't have it replaced at a dealership the sensor replacement was out of warranty and cost me about $300 for just one. I do not want to pay that much again (especially x4) so I am weary about going to a 3rd party. Thoughts?

I have a 2013 MKZ Hybrid. It currently has 22,000 miles on it and the tires are already shot. It is never driven hard (being a Hybrid its not fun to beat on it) so I can't figure out why the tires are already bald. It still has the OEM tires on it and I am going to talk to my local dealer to see if I have any recourse before buying all new tires. I thought these tires were junk, but what I realized today is that I have the same identical tires (size 18s) on my 2014 Toyota Camry V6 and with those tires, my Camry is better in the snow than any 4WD vehicle I have ever owned so I'm torn if I should give this brand another shot or go with a new brand. I was hoping I could get some suggestions from people here as to what brand I should get. I have the 19's on the car and I live in Buffalo, NY so I need to find an all-season tire that will handle well in snow if I decide not to get winter tires. I love the car but I came very close to trading it in several times this winter when I got stuck in less than 1/2 inch of snow on more than one occasion. Thanks in advance!

18" or 19" wheels on 2014
mydadslincoln posted a topic in Buying, Ordering and Leasing a Lincoln MKZ
Guys, I am ordering a new MKZ Hybrid and can't choose between the 18" and 19" wheels. After testing both, I could swear the bigger 19"s actually provided the softer ride. How is that possible? I thought the smaller tire would provide the softer, more luxury feel. Could the dealer just be underinflating the 19s? I did switch the 18s to "comfort mode" and it got a little softer but not as soft as the 19s. I feel like I am taking crazy pills.please help.
