  1. I have a 2016 MKZ with SYNC Version 2 (I think). I would like to know if anyone has done the Apple CarPlay software update and/or installed the USB hub to connect your phone to your screen/apple CarPlay app. Does anyone have a list of part numbers there are required to do this swap? There are few videos about it but more for the F-150 and other SYNC enabled vehicles. Any YouTube links out there? This seems like a great upgrade and would really like to give it a shot. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
  2. I have a 2008 Lincoln MKZ with the basic sync radio. I found a cool oem nav radio out of a loaded 2007 MKZ. Trying to figure out the audio control wiring. I was wondering if anyone has access to the wiring diagram for both radios 2008 sync and 2007 nav.
  3. So I've had this happen a few times on my 2011 MKZ. The audio/music on my phone seems to disconnect from the bluetooth and will not reconnect. I can still ANSWER phone calls via the manual buttons, but voice control no longer works. I've deleted the phone and readded through the menu multiple times to no avail. The ONLY thing that works, for a while, is disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes.Has anyone else had this issue and found a better answer??
  4. I just noticed on the owners page an update is available which might revive text messaging on android devices and had my day made. It's already in the sync specific forum, but I didn't know about it which means other people probably didn't either. Features 1. Enhanced Bluetooth connection stability. 2. Enabled track information to be displayed for blue tooth I streamed media 3. More robust MAP (yay!) 4. Improved connectivity for USB connected apple devices. 5.previous usb or BT media source playback now resumed after ignition cycle
  5. Sync does not understand the names in my command
  6. I want to add streaming capability to my Zephyr but the stock system has no Aux input. I don't want to use FM modulation. I do want to retain the THX feature. I'm considering swapping my system for the 2007 Nav system which has Aux. I realize this requires a different bezel. I don't know whether nav will work. I'd love for it to work, but it's not my priority. I'd use a GROM or iSimple type system in the Aux for BT streaming audio from my phone. I don't care about phone calls, I don't need a mic. I'm also considering aftermarket options incorporating a Maestro unit in order to retain the THX feature. Has anyone tried anything like this?
