heard of anyone fixing it themselves? I've seen the passenger side blend door, but not the mode door.

Air conditioner isnt acting automatic, won't blow through floor. Was making a harsh almost grinding gear noise for a long time. Going to try pulling the fuse, like can fix temperature doors.

Edit: not reset, clear faults with mft.

So really its the boot screen. The system never really turns off, just sleeps, much like a smartphone with the screen off(which is why some faults with the system require removing power) so maybe you are right. I'd hope battery just doesn't have the current, cause my alternator is also putting out about 13.8 and everything in my car works fine. Get a meter and measure voltage when you crank(start) the car. If it dips real hard (I'd say at 7 volts I'd be worried) then your battery doesn't have the current to keep the rest of the car up. Or take it to ORielys and let them test it. Bonus: this resets your mft.

13.8 shouldn't be terrible. Is it a hybrid? Ideal is 14.4. Couldn't imagine what "performing scheduled maintenance" means

Rainx coating might help. The motor shouldn't be too hard to get at. Make sure its getting around 14 volts on a meter.

Uh, that's usually just a bulb. Either climb in the trunk on your back, or just feel around and twist the assembly out. Should be less than ten bucks at ORielys.

Almost sounds like its derating for overheating. No codes sounds like replace the ecu.

I don't know about 07, my in my '10 the radio talks to everything using a network, and has to be programmed. You might just wanna get a head unit from an aftermarket brand. The pioneer unit with android auto would probably be what I would get.

I just noticed on the owners page an update is available which might revive text messaging on android devices and had my day made. Dealer will replace them for free. The letter explaining it should be on the way.

The dealer thing to do is get a new switch. It has clips that hold it in, so you'd just swap the connectors to the new switch and pop it in. I'd remove as much of that silicone glue as I could and super glue it in.

Take it to the dealer. They will fix this for free now. For ten years

Saying that its not bulb or ballast or wiring is bullshit. Do you have hid? Adaptive hid? As long as the ballast is getting 12-14 volts, an hid should work if the ballast is good. Dealers want obscene prices for ballast. Do some research. Get a meter and make sure your getting voltage. Ballast are pretty common. Only a couple of different ones for a lot of makes and models. If it has its own microphones, can't you dampen them? Wrap them in foam or some sound deadening material

Update: bought a bottle of freon with a gauge built into it, had a measely 10# on the cold line. Bottle says it has a sealant in it too. The $35 bottle got it up to 30#. Blows cold again. We'll see how long that lasts

2010 Lincoln mkz awd. Touchscreen. The drivers side gets ice cold, hut the passenger side just feels like its recirculating the cabin air from the car. Opened up the glove box and I can see the door actuator moving as it should, but no cold air, just cool. I keep hearing this term "heater core bypass door" am I getting cold air, but the heater core is heating it back up? Anybody have any experience with a similar problem?

2 days ago a bulletin was put out that says that for ten years after the bumper to bumper warrantee runs out they will replace the tail lights at no charge. This letter probably hasn't arrived in most peoples mail yet. but cool to see them truely stepping up. Expect a letter by march 23rd.
