  1. ? Well, the MKZh got traded in yesterday. Finally found an small SUV that fit my needs and we made a deal. Not everything I wanted but pretty damn close.. Could not wait any longer for the Hybrid Corsair and the Aviator hybrid was out of my league. I must say it has been fun on this forum, I might pop my head in from time to time. Oh BTW I forgot to turn in my original Lincoln carpeted mats for the MKZ (Black) with the trade. They were never in the car as I always used Weathertechs so if anyone is interested in them, let me know. $50 + ship for all 4 pieces
  2. Hope all have a happy and safe New Year
  3. Well, Before I said it was fixed, I wanted to be sure that my issue was gone. Picked up the car on the 14th and the reverse issues have not reappeared, they said they had to adjust a cable. "Adjust & Reset Shift Cable" Cable? I thought this tranny was run by motors not a linkage cable.
  4. They have it back now, picked up a 2019 MKZ loaner last night. Ho! Ho! Ho! ??
  5. Don't know, they haven't said, been trying to get service manager back on the phone for 2 days with no response to voice mails and text messaging. Car is deteriorating as the "Sys Shift Fault" error is reoccuring. And now having problem just starting the car.
  6. Update, Hybrid battery theory shot, happen several times yesterday and hybrid battery on all occasions was between 1/2 and 3/4 charged
  7. Not a tranny in the traditional sense for a hybrid and the display of the camera when it goes off doesn't revert back to another screen, it goes blank. It comes back on when reverse engages.
  8. Transmission saga continues..... Car yesterday morning on three different occasions exhibited yet again problems of trying to go in reverse. Symptoms - Pressing R to back into a parking space, it would first start in reverse and then after two-three feet, it felt like the transmission just disengaged, after a split second it would start going into reverse again and then once again disengage, repeating this until we finally got into the spot. I did notice that the backup camera screen went blank each time it stopped moving in reverse. Hard to detect other observations or warnings as it happens so fast. Took it into the dealer yesterday mid-morning but they found no codes and they could not repeat in test driving it, asked me to make note of the level of the hybrid battery when this happens. Anyone got any ideas what is going on?
  9. I had a 2.0 Turbo in my 2013 MKZ and never noticed any excessive noise. I do agree on the window switch position is too far forward in the MKZ, I too finding myself to this day opening the rear window when I want the front but I do keep my driver seat to the extreme rear. I noticed better positioned in loaners of other Lincoln models. The 2014 I current have has different controls and Sync system so I do not experience the volume circle but have had loaners that worked this way, never noticed that they seemed "too big and bright"
  10. Well that is the number on the service ticket. Brought it back in early (7:45) in the AM and they had me back out and on my way by 9. Claimed they found many communication errors and reprogrammed several units. So far for the afternoon we were good, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
  11. The saga continues Following up on my post above from Friday 11/22/19 After they finally cleared up my bad gas issue (I am still trying to recover money from the gasoline company) I started to hear that same noise again that sounded like a dry bearing or a hanging caliper. Took it into the dealer 2 weeks ago and they kept it, just got it back yesterday as they changed the transmission (yes you read that right) Work performed per TSB 18-2328. All seemed good until I got home as I could not get the car into reverse to back into the garage. I would hit "R" and it would immediately switch down to "N" accompanied by these two notices, switching back and forth between them. If I turned the car off and then restart it, I could immediately shift in reverse for 1 time only , 2nd time it would go back into the same error error mode. ?Back to the dealer 1st thing in the morning. BTW The manual says the following on this error screen... well that was helpful.....NOT and I could not locate a copy of TSB 18-2328 on-line 2014 MKZh with 80,525 on the clock Edited 5 minutes ago by R2D2
  12. Have you checked your settings in the ENABLING OR DISABLING AUTOUNLOCK section from the information display? You should find it under Settings|Vehicle|Locks
  13. Damn, Can't wait that long, may have to go to another manufacturer
  14. So you are saying it happened with 2 different S9's, methinks it is not the phone
  15. Well car went into the shop (again) about two weeks ago. Once they got the bad gas problem straightened out, I started to hear funny noises like a dry bearing or a hanging caliper on the brakes. They diagnosed it as a tranny issue,. just over 80K miles on the 2014 hybrid. They called to tell me a new tranny is on it's way and should arrive tomorrow to the dealer... Has anyone found the 2020 Corsair in Hybrid yet to test out? I really have to get a new car ?
  16. I experience this on my 2014 hybrid as well. I find I have to slightly lower the hood while releasing the 2nd catch..... it is tight
  17. Well, here it is finally. I must say that first look at the cockpit seems to be boxy, not sure I like it Nope, not impressed ?
  18. Got it, very though going back on the phone, worked it more from memory. Thanks for clarifying.
  19. All good info but as you said hybrids are not Ecoboost so therefore he should be good as I believe he said he had the shuttering when switching from gas to electric.
  20. I started this thread almost two years ago and at that time had about 50k on the speedometer so I didn't think so either but the fact remains that it is gone after the coils were changed. Check out my post above from Feb 4, 2018..... about dieseling theory
  21. I have had the Lincoln ones on my 2013 & 2014 MKZh, No longer live in snowy states but they are great for sand and mud too. I have had weathertech on other cars, so I was a big fan of them when I lived on Long Island,
  22. I have no idea what "octane free" gas might be .... also read my post in this thread of October 28 and the related linked thread, I feel it smoothed out after having the ignition coil changed in cylinders 1 & 2.
