  1. This happened to me a lot and since I never actually needed to press a fob button, I got a harder shell case and that solved the issue, here is a link to one type https://www.ebay.com/itm/133695254132?var=433140749372
  2. Happened at least twice to my 2014 when I still had it, I am almost sure I posted a thread on here but can't locate it, I tried searching for "GPS" & "NAV" but no results shown.....maybe the search engine is not working because it didn't show this thread either. Edited to add Found it https://lincolnmkzforum.com/topic/1760-loss-of-sat-signals/?tab=comments#comment-6672 Still not sure why "Search could not find it by "NAV" as that was in the body of the OP..... maybe search word too short, I found it by search for "satellite"
  3. Here is a link to the old thread on this subject https://lincolnmkzforum.com/topic/799-daytime-running-lights-activation-michigan/?tab=comments#comment-4218
  4. Why don't you just have the dealer turn on the function in your 2013? I had it done when I owned a 2013 MKZ
  5. There are a number of silver paint markers out there, I believe Sharpie is one brand. May have to experiment a bit to find the right shade. Check hobby stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby.....also Walmart. We use them in the bike shop to write numbers on black bike parts
  6. Here is the link to the ebay item https://www.ebay.com/itm/143953197747?fits=Make%3ALincoln&hash=item2184477ab3:g:zMwAAOSwuI9gLzsy
  7. That was what I was thinking, I never thought of my Z as a compact
  8. Look at this post above from Chris109 on Oct 20, it gives you info on folding down the panel hiding the fuse block
  9. I would bring it back to the small dealership and have them make it right..... you may want to check with carfax to see if it was in an accident.
  10. Jumping in as a former Hybrid owner, I have jumped other vehicles both from the posts in the engine compartment and the battery in the trunk. No difference. Never had to hook up a charger to my battery but I do not see a valid reason to use one location over the other other then convenience, both should accomplish the same task. I think it is easier to use the hood posts and easier to see rather then go through the trunk access door. I believe I once hooked up a charger/booster battery to the hood posts while changing the actual battery. I did this to maintain all the memory settings,... worked fine, just have to be careful because the cabling is live..
  11. Check the drains for your a/c condensate line, may be plugged. I have also seen cars where the drains in the doors (along bottom edge) are stuck or plugged and make a swishy sound when accelerating or braking, check those as well
  12. bbf2530, not sure if you were going to attach a file or provide a link but I don't see anything there. Linc4chelle, have you tried a magnet on a string to retrieve the screwdriver?
  13. There are other signals that can act as EMI or RFI and mask the fob frequency. It doesn't just happen at gas stations. Getting your fob closer to the center console cup holders will help.
  14. So if you put back in the old headlights, does the message go away?
